These Terms and Conditions govern your use of www.suvianne.com and any purchases made from SuviAnne Callums ("we", "our", "us"). By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this website.

1. About us

SuviAnne Callums is an independent Canadian author and poet based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. All works sold through this website are independently published creative works.

2. Products and availability

We offer poems, essays, short fiction and books in digital format. All works are described on their respective pages. Prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to change prices at any time; however, once an order has been confirmed by email, the agreed price applies.

All works on this site marked as "Available to readers · CAD $0.00" are offered freely for personal, non-commercial reading. Works with a price above $0.00 require purchase before use beyond personal reading.

3. How to purchase

Purchases are completed through a manual order process:

Add desired works to your order summary using the "Add to Bill" button on any work's page.
Proceed to the Shop page and choose your payment method (Email, Bank Transfer, or Payment Gateway).
Your order summary is automatically included in the message sent to author@SuviAnne.com.
We will confirm receipt of your order and provide payment or delivery instructions within 2–5 business days.

A purchase is not confirmed until we send you a written confirmation by email.

4. Payment

Accepted payment methods include bank transfer (Interac e-Transfer for Canadian customers; SWIFT/bank wire for international customers) and secure payment links (e.g. PayPal, Stripe) where available. Payment details are provided at the time of order confirmation. Payment is due before delivery of digital works.

5. Delivery

All works are delivered digitally (PDF, EPUB, or agreed format) by email attachment or download link after payment is received. Delivery is typically within 1–3 business days of confirmed payment. No physical shipping is offered unless explicitly agreed.

6. Refund and return policy

Because all works are digital, we generally do not offer refunds once a file has been delivered. However, we will issue a full refund in the following circumstances:

The work delivered is materially different from what was described on the website.
The file is corrupt or undeliverable and we are unable to resend a working copy within 5 business days.
Your order was confirmed but payment was taken in error (e.g. duplicate charge).

To request a refund, contact author@SuviAnne.com within 14 days of delivery with your order details. Refunds are returned by the same method as payment.

European customers (EU/UK): Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive and UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days without giving a reason, unless the digital content has been made available and you have expressly consented to the loss of the right of withdrawal. We will ask for your consent at the time of delivery.

7. Intellectual property

All content on this website — including but not limited to text, poems, essays, fiction, images, audio, and the site design — is the exclusive intellectual property of SuviAnne Callums and is protected by Canadian copyright law and international copyright treaties.

Purchasing a work grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to read and enjoy the work for your own private use. You may not:

Reproduce, copy, publish or distribute any work without written permission.
Use any work for commercial purposes, in AI training datasets, or as input to generative AI systems.
Remove or obscure any copyright notices or author attributions.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

This website and its contents are provided on an "as is" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of this website.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada — except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide you with additional rights.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
